| Co-Chairman’s Message
We need to be focusing our attention on preparations for the annual Rogue Valley Train Show. Again this year we will be setting up our modules on the Friday after Thanksgiving. We always need lots of help with transporting and setting up our modules. The show is Saturday and Sunday, with cleanup to be completed by 6:00 Sunday evening. We will again need help taking the modules down and transporting them back to the clubhouse. We also need to be filling the various jobs for which our club is assigned. This assures that our Club receives its full share of the show proceeds. This amount usually represents the largest single income for our Club each year, and the amount is substantial. There are still some work slots open. And don’t forget we need train operators--whether you bring your own equipment, or not. Most of all, we all have a chance to be ambassadors for our Club. The person you talk to at the show may be a future member. The most pressing task is to get our modules repaired and cleaned. This will be easier once the last public show is done on October 24. And don’t forget to order your Club T-shirts and/or jackets right away, so you will have them in time for the Train Show. --E.Don |
